We can help you make the right decisions when upgrading your home, so it stays warm in winter, cool in summer, and safe all year round.

What this service offers:

Energy resilience assessment: We’ll do a thorough assessment of your home and give you practical recommendations to improve the way it uses energy. This is a chargeable service.

Damp and mould: Our team can help you identify, manage and prevent damp and mould issues

Funding, grants and loan support: We’ll help you understand any financial support options available to help pay for small and large improvements.

Retrofit support: Our technical team can help you with larger upgrades, like insulation, heat pumps, and solar panels. They can draw up a schedule of work, connect you with our trusted contractors, and supervise and inspect the installation.

Appliance and heating support: We may be able to help you replace inefficient appliances or arrange a free boiler service (subject to funding and eligibility).

Free Energy-Saving Helpers

Free LED light bulbs: Manchester residents aged 60 or over can receive up to 8 free energy-efficient LED light bulbs to replace older bulbs via our Handyperson Service.

Make major energy improvements to your home with our Home Energy Loan Plan

If you own your home in Manchester, you may be eligible for our interest-free finance option to upgrade your heating and energy systems.

Working in partnership with Manchester City Council, we offer homeowners an affordable, straightforward way to improve their home’s energy efficiency and lower bills, without needing upfront savings.

What can a HELP Loan pay for?

Heating systems: Installing or upgrading central heating, heat pumps, or replacement boilers.

Insulation: Wall, loft, and underfloor insulation to retain heat and reduce fuel bills.

Renewable energy: Solar panel installation and green energy technology.

Retrofit support: Our technical team can help you with larger upgrades, like insulation, heat pumps, and solar panels. They can draw up a schedule of work, connect you with our trusted contractors, and supervise and inspect the installation.

Home upgrades: Double glazing and other energy-saving home measures.
